About Us

We specialize in dental implants that will change your life. Our IT (Immediate Teeth) Techniques use state of the art procedures to make you smile again. We also take care of wisdom teeth, tooth extractions, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures. We are the official Oral Surgeons of The Carolina Hurricanes and The Wolfpack.

Dr. Benzing comes to Nu Image Surgical with over 15 years of oral surgery experience. He is originally from Syracuse, NY. He went to dental school at University of Connecticut where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is a board certified oral surgeon and he is also board certified in dental anesthesiology. Dr. Benzing enjoys teaching continuing education courses on medical emergencies and protocols, trauma, sedation, wisdom teeth removal and oral cancer screening. Dr Benzing is a certified BLS CPR and ACLS instructor. He was an adjunct professor at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, where he taught local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and medical emergency courses to dental students as well as dental hygienists. Dr Benzing was a member of the State of Maine Cleft Lip and Palate team treating craniofacial disorders. He was on the Dental Forensics Team through the Office of the State Medical Examiner. Dr Benzing enjoys participating in several different missions for cleft lip and palate and exodontia. Dr. Benzing currently lives in Holly Springs, NC with his wife, Sarah, and three children: Meghan (13), Julia (11) and William (8). He enjoys skiing,
