My name is Scott Lefferts and I am the founder, CEO, and currently the only employee of WhatGives. We are a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2015 but not fully launched until July, 2020.
WhatGives believes that individuals, families and society as a whole are better served when people are being educated, trained, or employed. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals through these 3 pillars.
We provide small sum financial grants to individuals that are in a crisis that is impacting their ability to stay educated, trained or employed. The only requirement of the candidate is that they fall below 2x the national poverty level and their need is aligned with our mission.
WhatGives also provides after-grant support to help the candidate navigate the resources needed for them to continue moving forward in their lives.
