Powerhouse Keynote Speaker Cindy Eckert is a highly regarded entrepreneur, a strong advocate for female entrepreneurship, a pharmaceutical leader and one of the few women to have ever sold a company for a billion dollars. The New York Times called her pharmaceutical product the “drug of a generation” and Fortune called her a “tireless force of nature.” Associates of hers call her unapologetically pink.

From national conference venues to student leadership organizations, Betty Shotton delivers authentic and passionate speeches and presentations about the power and possibility of untapped human potential. She shares her experiences as a CEO behind a desk and a commercial pilot in the cockpit, stories of challenge and adversity where she found her strength and resolve. A friend of failure and the many lessons it offers, she encourages her audiences to regard their roadblocks and challenges as opportunities in a never ending quest to become a better person, a more resilient and effective team, an unstoppable organization. She is an advocate for conscious leadership. She inspires leaders of all ages and levels to take the high road and intentionally commit to combining the financial demands with the responsibility of developing human potential.

Maggie Anderson, JD, MBA, is the author of Our Black Year, the critically acclaimed book re her family’s historic stand buying only from Black owned businesses for an entire year AKA The Empowerment Experiment. The former aide to Congressman John Lewis and law student of president Obama has since given thousands of speeches and interviews hosted by the most respected corporations, universities, trade/ professional/ faith/ civic and rights institutions, and media. Millions have shed tears while taking notes as she teaches the victorious yet violent history of Black owned businesses and Black economic unity. For her sustained activism and her hard-hitting speeches, she was chosen by BET and Centric TV as one of “The Most Fascinating Women of 2016”, and the YWCA as “The Women of the Year” for her work countering racism in the economy.
