About Us

The 100% volunteer Holly Springs Food Cupboard partners with the local community to collect perishable and nonperishable food, personal care and household products and monetary donations. Much of our nonperishable food comes from food drives organized by schools, churches, scout troops, neighborhoods and other donations. Distributions of food to people in need are held weekly, and individual clients may visit the Cupboard monthly. In addition to nonperishable food, each family may select from a variety of perishable items including baked goods, fruits and vegetables. Families also receive milk, eggs and meat.
The Cupboard is a partner agency of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. This partnership provides food recovery opportunities of perishable food donated on a weekly basis from local stores.
Cupboard volunteers recover perishable food from several local restaurants so that what might have been wasted is used to feed families.
