Academy Director - Early Childhood Education & Childcare

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a seasoned School Director to join our newly constructed, nationally recognized early childhood education program – Kiddie Academy® of Holly Springs Towne Center in Holly Springs, NC. Our preschool program is designed with a well-developed research-oriented proprietary curriculum, “Life Essential® that emphasizes early childhood development of the whole child.

The director will work closely with the academy owners with the support of vast resources from the franchise corporation. The individual is responsible for driving effective operations & marketing campaigns and must have strong leadership and communication skills to build, lead, and inspire the team to achieve the highest results. Additionally, creating a supportive culture and cultivating a safe and healthy environment within the school to establish trusting relationships with families, staff, and the community.

As the school director, your dedication to the program's success ensures that we deliver our vision to shape and inspire children for the future by providing the best and most entrusted early childhood education and care to the families we serve.
 
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or equivalent; Master’s degree in education is preferred.
  • Preferably 3+ years’ experience as Director in a licensed childcare center overseeing over 120 children.
  • NC Level III Administrator certified by the NC DCDEE.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience maintaining compliance with the state childcare licensing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Early Childhood National and State accrediting agencies such as NAEYC / QRIS accreditation requirements and processes.
  • Knowledge and experience in federal and state grant and subsidy programs and application processes.
  • Knowledge of USDA and food program health and nutritional guidelines.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage conflict resolution in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Exemplary commitment and passion for customer service excellence, including staff members and communities.
  • Must be an effective outward communicator, both verbally and in writing, as well as an active listener and problem solver.
  • Proficient in technology tools such as QuickBooks, Tuition Management software, MS Office 365, Social Media, and Account and Payroll Management software.
  • NC certifications, including, but not limited to, Background Checks, CPR/First Aid & AED, SIDS & Maltreatment, and BSAC training certificates.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children for program facilitation, child safety, and potential emergencies.
